10 Dec Program Update

Envision Maunakea is excited to announce some recent developments in the advancement of its community engagement process.

The recruitment and selection of a seasoned team to facilitate our ‘Aha Kūkā community listening sessions has been completed, and that team is hard at work drafting a charter for the Hui Hoʻolohe’s consideration and endorsement.

The‘Aha Kūkā sessions will begin in January 2017 and are currently planned to continue through October 2017.

The Hawai‘i Island residents who have graciously volunteered to serve on the EnVision Maunakea Hui Hoʻolohe’s community advisory group will soon be announced. These individuals will play a critical role in listening to and weaving participant feedback into a comprehensive document reflecting what the community supports in terms of a long-term future for Maunakea.
